				<title>P90X Day 2 - Plyometrics</title>
				<link>http://www.cfedge.com/index.cfm/2009/5/20/P90X-Day-2--Plyometrics</link>
				<description>

Day 2 was Plyometrics. They say that Plyometrics are the X in P90X and I believe them.

This workout was a two day ordeal for me. The official second day I ate support and waited a couple hours to do the workout but it wasn&apos;t long enough so I had to stop the workout at the first water break to prevent myself from getting sick. It may have only been around 20 minutes but it felt like I had worked out for an hour straight.

The next day my muscles ached when getting the dogs their breakfast. I was thinking to myself at that point how was I going to be able to even walk if my muscles already hurt after 20 minutes.

I arrived home from work and after feeding the dogs and letting them out I turned on the DVD and started getting busy.

I have to say that it was one of the longest hours of my life. The only hour that lasted longer I think was the last hour of the marathon I ran / walked a few months ago.

I was able to keep pace with the folks in the video for awhile, then at the advice of Tommy Horton I started slowing down and even pausing it for longer breaks.

Towards the end I felt like I was having trouble with my coordination because I was so tired. I did finish the workout.

I am sore today after sitting for awhile but not as sore as I thought I was going to be. I&apos;d like to think it is because I drank a glass of the recovery drink.

Day 3 is Shoulders &amp; Arms &amp; Ab Ripper X. This time I will make sure that I do the Ab Ripper exercises.

One thing that I keep telling myself is to stick with it. Even if I have to pause and do things slower at least I am doing it and it may take longer than 90 days to get to where I want to be, but I will get there.

See you after day 3!

<title>P90X Day 1 is over and I lived to tell about it</title>

				P90X Day 1

Today was my first day doing the P90X program. It was pretty intense for me. I started out my workout today running around getting handles on the bands, switching handles because I needed tougher bands etc.

It mentions on the DVD to take it easy the first time through because you have to do things twice. I knew I wasn&apos;t in shape so I set my goals low. I figured if I set them too low it would be easier for me to adjust the next time.

I ended up not using the pull-up / chin-up bar because I am too out of shape, but it won&apos;t be long before I am using it again. I was able to do a few in college so I know it is possible.

&lt;b&gt;Update (The Day After):&lt;/b&gt; I realized today that I did not complete the second part of Day 1. I for some reason thought the Ab Ripper X was for day 2. Oh well I am still proud of myself. I will get it done the next time.

If I look at my results on a per excersise basis it looks like my results weren&apos;t that great, but the amount of work I did over the course of the workout is pretty amazing and I am feeling it today.

I will put in my results in the next few days. I wrote my results on a piece of paper and need to get them typed up. I ache a lot today, but I don&apos;t mind. In a few weeks I will look back on Day 1 and will be in disbelief about how out of shape I was :-)

I will be starting Plyometrics shortly as my Day 2 workout.
